MagicalNest had an existing Shopify store, but it was not performing as well as it could.. The store lacked the visual appeal and functionality their brand needed to stand out in the competitive market of children's furniture and decor. They required an engaging online presence that not only looked great but also provided a smooth shopping experience on all devices.
Our challenge was to redesign and rebuild their Shopify store from scratch, while also creating custom features that would elevate their user experience. This meant going beyond Shopify’s standard tools and developing bespoke solutions tailored specifically for MagicalNest’s needs

The first step was giving the entire store a fresh, clean look that matched the playful yet sophisticated essence of the MagicalNest brand. We focused on creating a mobile-responsive design to ensure parents could browse comfortably from any device. Every page was optimized for speed, user experience, and aesthetic appeal.

One of the standout features we developed was the Custom Room Design app. Parents could now design a room for their child online, choosing from a variety of furniture and themes, making the shopping experience fun and interactive. This app was built from the ground up by our back-end developer and became a highlight of the project.

Unlike most Shopify stores that rely on a simple contact form, we developed a Custom ‘Contact Us’ Page that wasn’t available in Shopify’s standard offerings. This custom form allowed for multiple fields, image attachments, and options for users to send detailed inquiries about designing their child’s room.

To make the site even more dynamic, we created custom sliders for their homepage and product pages, allowing MagicalNest to showcase their furniture collections and promotions in an engaging, scrollable manner. These sliders were custom-coded to blend perfectly with the site’s aesthetic and user flow.

Given that a significant portion of users would access the site through mobile devices, we ensured that the entire site was fully mobile responsive. Every feature, from the room design tool to the custom contact forms, was optimized for both performance and visual appeal across different screen sizes.

Real-time communication was enabled through Agora and Twilio, allowing us to integrate voice, video, and messaging features into the platform. This solution ensured that users had access to crystal-clear video conferencing, real-time chats, and secure communication channels, all while being scalable and adaptable to different use cases.
For instant notifications and user engagement, we implemented SMS and email gateways. These APIs allowed us to trigger timely updates, OTP verifications, and marketing emails, keeping users informed and improving overall communication.
Leveraging Google APIs, we integrated Google Maps for accurate location tracking, and Google Sign-In for effortless user authentication. These features reduced friction for users and enhanced overall user experience by simplifying onboarding and location-based services.
Firebase played a crucial role in real-time database management, authentication, and hosting. Its easy-to-use platform allowed us to synchronize data efficiently across users and devices, ensuring that information was updated in real-time without delays.
With Socket.io, we implemented real-time event-based communication, enabling functionalities like live updates, notifications, and collaborative features. This integration proved essential in making the platform more interactive and responsive.
